Feral Titan sketchdump |Updated| by MaximumZeroRide Feral Titan sketchdump |Updated| by MaximumZeroRide
A Titan with hunched appearance, the Feral Titan is estimated to be around 10m in height when standing. Unlike many of the other shifters, the Feral Titan's body structure is poorly proportioned, possessing a barrelled chest, elongated limbs and large hands. Due to the top-heavy build, this Titan seems to prefer loping on all fours when traveling long distances. Though not particularly strong, this Titan is fast and agile enough to outrun horses over any distance. Like the Rouge titan, the Feral Titan's mouth in not suited for speaking (due to the structure and lack of lips), but it is capable of making a wide range of other unusual sounds such as warbling, cooing, trilling, whooping and in rare cases, purring. This is in addition to regular titan rumbles, growls and bellows.

The teeth of this Titan are visible and closely resemble those of canine animals, aside from the four incisors, which act more like tusks than teeth. Similar to a Chinese water deer, these tusks have been observed moving, sitting loose the socket when the Titan is calm, but are pulled forward though bands of muscle inside the skull when in combat. Dark, thick fur covers this Titan along portions of it's body and stands erect when the Titan is engaged in combat, acting as a semi-defensive coating. Rather than having nails, the Feral Titan has thick claws, used primarily for combat purposes, positioned in a way that they do not wear down from running. The eyes of this Titan have small pupils, suggesting excellent vision and through dissection it was discovered the Feral Titan possesses both a tapetum (reflective layer of the chlorid in the eye) and nictitating membranes (a third, transparent eyelid possessed by some predatory species of animal) which allows the Feral Titan to retain visibility in darkness and blink without loosing sight respectively.

Unlike it's Shifter brethren, the Feral Titan doesn't use hand-to-hand combat techniques to fight other Titans, but rather resolves to just throw itself at other Titans, clawing and biting as much as possible, wrestling and scrapping with it's opponent until they stop moving. With Titans larger than itself, the Feral Titan attacks from the side at an angle, locking its jaws onto either the upper arm or neck of the Titan, using it's own speed and momentum to wrench the Titan off balance. More often than not, this causes the larger Titan to stumble and slam into the ground and enables Feral to destroy the nape and kill the Titan. However instinct-driven the Feral Titan is, it still won't hesitate to 'fight dirty' by spitting into the eyes of other Titans and purposely aiming to blind, disable and inhibit it's opponent in any way to give itself an advantage.

UPDATE: reshuffled around the images and added the sketch in the top corner

Is that Annie giving him a chin rub?
MaximumZeroRide Featured By Owner Aug 22, 2016  Hobbyist General Artist
Yeah, chin scratches are just about the only thing that keeps the Feral Titan passive enough that it doesn't accidentally destroy the horse stables again, but the Feral Titan only seems to let a select few people touch it, Annie being one of them

Makes sense, Annie is a calm person who probably gets along well with animals, so a more animalistic titan would likely like her. Is it from a fanfiction or comic?

Her calm nature helps, but it's probably more the fact that the human "piloting" the Titan has a bit of a crush on her

Feral's from a fanfiction I'm currently writing, but I plan to add them into more 'canon' events soon

Cool, I'll keep an eye out for when it comes out.
